In 1994, the developers of the Scorchers Casual Eatery & Draft House concept removed themselves from the fast paced, corporate world to operate a business in the food and beverage industry.  Co-founders, Denny and Brenda Lowe, after 23 years in their respective fields, felt the urge to follow their dream of owning a restaurant/bar.  Brian Ward, working in the family business, was also laying plans for his own operation.  Together they transferred their combined knowledge to the restaurant business, and developed their own recipe for success.

In June 1994, beating all the odds, they opened the first Scorchers in Akron, Ohio.  Scorchers reputation for quality food, a unique beverage selection and a no-hurry friendly atmosphere, brought the first Franchise inquiry.  In November 1995 the Scorchers franchise network was born.  In 1997 after two additional franchises, the original Scorchers was sold as a turnkey franchise.

Denny, Brian and Brenda remain in full charge of the franchise network.  They are still experiencing the FUN of their success recipe.

As of this writing nine Scorchers Casual Eatery & Draft House  franchises are operating in Ohio.
